Is the accommodation included in the price?

The accommodation is not included in the price. However, we can send you our accommodation suggestions. We have a wide list of local 3 *, 4 * and 5 * Bed & Breakfast and Boutique hotels throughout the country. We will provide suggestions so that you can choose the hotel that best suits your needs and your budget.

 

What is included in a SORRISOS LATINOS tour?

On our website, at www.sorrisoslatinos.com, you will find a detailed description of each of our tours, as well as what is included or not. Obviously we can adapt each tour to your preferences and needs. Based on our values, we want to ensure that we clearly communicate what is included in each tour. One of our main goals is to provide maximum satisfaction possible, in a completely relaxed and worry-free environment.

 

Will the guide / driver accompany us during all visits inside monuments / museums?

We like to be as clear as possible and that is why we explain that our guides are also your drivers. The guide will transmit relevant knowledge and information throughout the time you are traveling. However, it is sometimes not possible to accompany you on visits inside the monuments / museums. This is due to an important factor:

– Parking near places to visit is often difficult and time-consuming. For this reason, we chose to keep it as close to the monument as possible, giving relevant information and focusing on the main points of interest of the place while still inside the vehicle. The guide will assist you in purchasing tickets so you don’t have to be in line. Then, while our customers explore the places at their own pace, the guide stays in the vehicle as close to each location as possible. This way we believe that you will be saving precious time on your trip, not having to worry about logistical issues such as vehicle parking. In this way, we avoid wasting time and greatly increase convenience, which is even more relevant on very hot or rainy days.

This model of guide / driver tour, due to its flexibility, price-quality ratio and high number of places visited each day, is selected by the overwhelming majority of our customers with a satisfaction close to 100%.

Our services can also be personalized and adapted to the needs of each client. If you want to be accompanied in 100% of monuments and museums, without waiting times for logistical issues, such as parking, we can give you the option of being accompanied by 2 members of our team. In this case you will be a driver and a guide who will be totally at your disposal to accompany you during all visits.

 

Is it possible to enjoy visits with local guides?

In certain monuments our customers can take advantage of, at a controlled cost, specialized local guides who take you to visit monuments of extreme cultural and historical richness. The main advantage of these guided tours is the fact that the specialized guides transmit very detailed information about each location. The use of audio guides in some places is also an excellent complement for the in-depth information they transmit (there are more and more places equipped with this medium).

 

Do your tours include a meal?

Yes, but only  if and when mentioned in the detail of the tour, these include meals, always in traditional and typical restaurants, all of them selected in order to guarantee excellent quality.

 

Do the tours have any type of insurance included in the price?

Yes. We are fully assured:

– Liability insurance / Car Insurance / Personal Accident Insurance

 

I’ve been looking at your offer and they don’t have what I’m looking for. Can you prepare a tour with my preferences for itinerary, activities and accommodation?

I am interested in booking a private sightseeing tour, but there are 10 of us, so I can only see prices for up to 7 people. Is it possible to book for a group of 10?

Of course yes. We recommend a maximum of 7 people as it is the maximum passenger capacity in our vehicles. In order to guarantee maximum comfort and attention on the part of our guides, we can use two vehicles or, if you prefer you can choose a larger vehicle.

 

Who are the Sorrisos Latinos guides?

We work with our own team of guides whose academic training and great professional experience are essential for you to experience the true and authentic Portuguese Culture. Carefully selected for their relevant experience and trained to provide top quality service. They are people who know how to receive, extremely knowledgeable of the places to visit in Portugal, with them you will have access to incredible places, unique experiences and the main attractions of the country. Our guides are authorized to skip the ticket line and speed your entry.

 

What is the minimum age to participate in a Sorrisos Latinos tour?

There is no minimum age. For children under 13, you only have to notify us at the time of booking, so that we can provide the respective safety equipment, in accordance with the applicable legislation and in order to guarantee maximum security on board.

 

What should I bring to wear?

It depends on your country of origin. If you come from a country where temperatures are, on average, lower than in Portugal, you probably need less ‘warm clothing’. On the other hand, if you come from a warmer country, you may feel the need to use more layers of clothing. In Portugal there is a temperature difference between Lisbon and Porto, where temperatures are usually lower than in Lisbon. In the region south of Lisbon (Alentejo and Algarve) temperatures are usually higher. In general, we recommend comfortable clothing and comfortable shoes and some protection from the rain. If you visit our country between November and March, be prepared for lower temperatures (minimum 8º to 11ºC). Remember that Portugal has 850 km of coastline, so it is advisable to bring your swimsuit.

How far in advance do I have to book?

We have no set deadline. In some situations we organize and carry out private and personalized tours scheduled 2 to 3 days before or even less. However, ideally and in order to ensure our availability, and that the guide and the equipment are fully prepared to provide you with the best, reservations must be made up to 2 weeks before the tours take place.

 

How can I make a reservation?

How can I pay?

Deposit Payment: 20% of the total value of the tour to be settled at the time of booking via MbWay or Bank Transfer

Final payment: Payable up to 30 days before the day of the tour and can be done via MbWay or Bank Transfer

* With regard to accommodation and, depending on the location, in some cases and, when non-refundable hotels are booked, we will ask you to pay the full amount of the reservation.

 

Cancellation policy

How can I cancel and what are the rules?

Cancellations are subject to the following penalties on the total tour price:

– 0% Up to 30 days before arrival. No penalty is applied. The exceptions are entrance tickets to monuments, third party activities, hotel reservations and possible transaction fees. They will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis, depending on the policy of each supplier;

– 50% Between 30 days to 15 days before arrival

– 100% For cancellations less than 15 days before arrival.

However, Sorrisos Latinos reserves the right to evaluate the possibility of making a partial refund.
