What To Expect

Departure from Lisbon towards Évora through the 25th of Abril Bridge, from where you can see the statue of Christ the King and beautiful views over the city of Lisbon.

The Roman Temple, built between the 1st and 2nd centuries, in homage to the Emperor Augustus, located in the highest point of the city, in the historical old-town center, it has been classified as World Heritage by UNESCO since 1986.

The building was started in 1186 and was completed only in 1250. It is a fascinating and impressive monument. All made of granite it is marked by the transition from the Romanesque to the Gothic style.

Go for a walk in Rua 5 Outubro and Giraldo square, where you can enjoy regional handicrafts and sweets… this is the place to get your souvenirs!

We will visit the unique Bone Chapel! In baroque style, the Chapel was built in the 17th century by three Franciscan friars whose aim was to convey the message of the transitority and fragile nature of human life. This message is clearly passed on to the visitors at the entrance, through the warning: “We bones who lie here, yours await”.

Travelling to Monsaraz, you can enjoy the magnificent landscapes of the Alentejo, with its unending fields of wheat and sunflowers.
